Welcome to the Akhada blog! We’re glad you’re here. We are based in Phoenix, Arizona, so the cactus pic seemed appropriate. We wanted to briefly discuss what we’re trying to accomplish at Akhada Consulting and what you can expect from us as well as tell you a little bit about us and where we came from.

When considering what to name our company, we thought long and hard about what we wanted the name to represent. As Shakespeare said in Romeo and Juliet, “What’s in a name? That which we call a rose by any other name would smell just as sweet.” But as much as I respect The Bard of Avon, we believe that in a business the name we use matters.

Akhada, which means the arena/wrestling ground in Hindi (अखाड़ा), represents competition. In a wrestling arena it is almost always one-on-one, the survival of the fittest. The same could be said of business. Competition can be fierce and you need the advantage to win. At Akhada Consulting we want to be your advantage. We want to be your partner in the arena, to stand with you as you work through trying to accomplish your business goals. It is our business imperative to help you help your clients accomplish their goals and thereby accomplish yours as well as ours.

We have decades of offshore experience. Our founder built his 27-year career on offshore team building and management. Our U.S. Supervisor brings 5+ years of experience working with teams in India as well as years of client-facing customer service experience. Building offshore teams and helping to manage those teams while maintaining standards of excellence and performance is what we do.

You can expect us to honestly assess your requests as well as your processes. You can expect us to match you up with offshore resources that will be the best fit for your needs.
